Preparation Tips

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
  2. Remove the outer membrane on the ribs using your fingers or a knife.
  3. Pick your favorite seasoning, rub or marinade and apply liberally.
  4. Place prepared ribs in a shallow foil-lined baking pan, meaty side up, in the preheated oven. Roast about 1½-2 hours until tender and meat pulls away from the bones (approximately 195 F internal temperature).
  5. After roasting, place the ribs on the grill, meaty side up, directly over medium heat for 15-20 minutes. Turn the ribs frequently and brush with sauce as desired.

  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • BBQ sauce, to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 250 F and line a large baking sheet with enough aluminum foil to wrap the ribs.
  2. Remove the outer membrane from the back of the rack.
  3. In a small bowl, combine dry ingredients and generously rub on the ribs.
  4. Place the seasoned ribs in a single layer on the aluminum foil and cover completely. Cook for approximately 3½-4 hours until ribs are tender.
  5. Remove ribs from oven and drain any excess liquid from the aluminum foil. Brush BBQ sauce on top and place back in the oven. Cook for 30 minutes until the top begins to caramelize.
